We explain technical ideas (COP, SCOP, payback, grants, tariffs) in language ordinary homeowners can use when speaking to installers or reading quotes.

Sources and review dates

Where possible we point to official or reputable sources (government guidance, regulators, standards bodies, established consumer organisations). Articles show published and last reviewed dates. Some pages include notes on figures that should be verified before publication updates.

Corrections

If you believe content is wrong or outdated, contact us with details and links. We aim to correct factual errors promptly.

Independence at launch

At launch there is no paid influence over editorial content. Any future sponsorship, affiliate relationship or commercial partnership will be labelled clearly on affected pages.

• Calling installers scammers or fraudsters in general content
• Invented statistics, grant rates or tariff prices
• Implying we are government, MCS, or an installer
• Selling systems or running lead-generation funnels
